Movies on mass long distance transport.
Having gone on a number of long journeys by Bus or Plane I have been exposed to a number of movies. Movies that I would not have sought out on my own volition. I am not sure who makes these movies, and vaguely recognise the actors and actresses who star in them. All of the movies, I think, are made by the Disney studio or one of its many subsidiary studios. The family friendly subsidiary studios.
This is because of all of the movies share similar characteristics, themes and ideas. If I was to guess at a genre, I would put them down as romance films, through the romantic pictures of like they portray. It is this romance that makes me curious, that I ponder while I watch the movies. Could what I see on the screen in front of me possibly be correct? Do such people and circumstances really exist? How common are they? I am still working on answers to these questions, unsure and not wanting to believe.
The other question, the more important question I think, is how much what is showing is digested and retained? Do people take these beliefs on and make them their own? Modify them to suit their lives or base their picture of life on what they have seen on screen? I am starting to think there are people who base their expectations of life on these movies. This is a reality I find somewhat disturbing.
